Halloween Party, Wrapping up October!

Sam loved singing the Teddy Bear Song! We learned
this fun new song in Music Class today. We were super busy today wrapping up October!
We had music class, a fun art project, and a wonderful Halloween Party by 2 great Party Moms!

Lila loved the Teddy Bear song too!

Andrew sat next to me during Music today. He really enjoyed playing the Xylophone and below - singing "Peekaboo!" The children are so much enjoying singing with Mrs. Elizabeth!

Lila loved our art project today. We collected leaves from home and compiled them as a collection with some contact paper! They are lovely in our classroom. The children loved sharing what they found on their Leaf Walk!
Great job parents, I hope this was a fun activity for you all.

Our party moms were great hosting our first class party of the year. We enjoyed yummy snacks (chocolate cupcakes, pumpkin muffins, cheese, red grapes, crackers, and water! We also had fun coloring fun masks with crayons and googly eyes. Then we enjoyed a story ready by Sam's Mom - it had a doorbell where we could pretend to trick or treat. We each received treats after we rang the bell. This was so fun for us! We each had a goody bag for all of our treats.  We did miss our friends, Virginia and Lily Kate!

These children really amaze me the way they are gripping their crayons like Kindergartners! This is a great skill that we will certainly continue strengthening at preschool. They also have the attention span to go along with that coordination. WOW!
Enjoy Halloween with your little ones. We have a busy November planned with not a lot of preschool days in the month. The holidays will quickly be upon us!
We will have lots of fun at preschool and learn many new things!
Thank you again to our party moms of the day - Stephanie Swanson and Elaine Bress.
They did a terrific job!!

More October Fun!

Crayon coloring, we love this and hold our crayons like 1st graders!

Today, we raked orange and gold leaves - after we threw them
up in the air and watched them fall!

This was a great exercise using our hands and arms to gather the leaves.
The children loved using the little rakes!

Andrew counting the orange pumpkins at the felt board, we count to 8!

Durham throwing the leaves up into the air for the girls to rake!

Virginia loved playing in the leaves!

"My beautiful red shoes make leaf raking a snap!"How cute is she??
Sam loved playing in the leaves, too!

Yay for fall!

Next, (on our busy Tuesday) we made glittery fall leaves to hang from the ceiling.
New big sis, Allen loved playing in the glitter!
Congratulations, McNeel Family!!!

Thank you, Durham for the extra yummy fall pumpkin muffins and Halloween Pretzels!
We had a great Tuesday at preschool, see you on Thursday!!

Welcome to October, our ORANGE month!

"See the shaky eggs, Mrs. Holly?"

                                                          Xylophone Playing Sam!
Allen loves the xylophone with Mrs. Elizabeth!

Durham gets his turn.

Virginia is very serious when she plays the xylophone. See the concentration?

Lily Kate does a good job!

Our early attempts of getting in a line, we're making progress!

Painting with our color of the month, Orange. Go Vols!

More little Volunteers painting with orange!

Good job, Sam!

Lily Kate loved the two process leaf painting. She is using the strength in her fingers
to move the brown paint around! Great job, Lily Kate!

Ethan really loved painting over the orange paint. Great job, Ethan!
